2015 American Planning Association Northeast Planning Conference call for proposals

Session proposals are currently being accepted for the 2015 American Planning Association Northeast Planning Conference in Saratoga Springs, New York! The Getting Ahead of the Future Conference represents a great opportunity to explore breaking trends and acquire the necessary skills required for the “future planner”.

Getting Ahead of the Future involves anticipating new planning trends, emerging issues, and preparing for what is next. We’re looking for sessions that explore:

  • How we prepare for an uncertain economy and adapt to climate change
  • How to address new demographic realities
  • The role of the professional planner of the future and the skills they need
  • How planners engage and inspire our constituencies for what’s next

The conference will explore these issues and the necessary skills for the future planner including: specialized competencies, political savvy, leadership, collaboration, and written, oral and graphic communication. So get ready, get creative, and be part of the future…propose a session now!

Notification of session acceptance or decline: mid-March 2015
