We now have details about the post-breakfast downtown tour, but time is running out to register for our event this Friday!
Our downtown tour will kick off at 10:15 following the breakfast and backstretch tour. We’ll check out Pavilion Grand, an infill development project and then walk around the block to an historic building that will have an amazing retrofit in which it will be taken apart, new foundation and first floor created, then the original structure reassembled piece by piece above! If time permits and for those interested, we can follow our tour with stop at Market Center – Saratoga’s downtown Grocery Store with apartments above.
About Breakfast at Saratoga on the Lower Porch:
Breakfast on the Porch is an exciting, long-standing tradition at Saratoga racecourse and is served on the porch of the Clubhouse while the thoroughbreds prepare for future races. Mary Ryan, a lifelong horsewoman, provides expert commentary for the workouts. Admission to breakfast is free, and those who elect to attend the afternoon’s races are charged admission upon reentering the track.
Menu: Breakfast Buffet ($25 ticket covers breakfast, tax, and gratuity)
Parking: Parking is FREE across the street from the main gate in the general lot. For those that wish to be closer, $10 trackside parking is available and for patrons who leave before 10:00 a.m. a parking refund is available.
We will eat at 7:30am to catch the 8:30am backstretch tram. Please allow time to be at The Porch by 7:30am so that we can be seated as a group.
***Wear a fun hat and win a prize! Hore racing and fun headwear are synonyous – so let your fashion flag fly and wear a fun hat. A prize will be awarded for best hat so be daring!***
About the Backstretch Tour:
One of the highlights of the breakfast program is the free walking tour of our famous and historic stable area (weather permitting). No reservations are accepted. Trams are filled on a first come first serve basis. The tour is roughly 45 minutes in length from start to finish.
CM credits will be requested for the backstretch tour and the downtown Saratoga tours.
