The New York Bicycling Coalition (NYBC) is working in partnership with the Capital District Transportation Committee (CDTC) to provide a full-day workshop on September 14, 2017 on innovative bikeway design, based on the National Association of City Transportation Officials’ (NACTO) Urban Bikeway Design Guide. The workshop will cover design tools and strategies to transform streets into safe and comfortable places to bike, including protected bike lanes, bike boulevards, and safe crossings and intersection treatments. Participants will apply these lessons during hands-on design exercises, evaluating design options and applying bikeway and intersection design strategies, as well as other topics addressed in the Guide.
This course is eligible for 8 hours of AICP continuing education credits and registrants will also receive the latest edition of the NACTO Urban Bikeway Design Guide. Seats for this training workshop are limited to the first 25 registrants. The registration fee is $100 and will be held at the CDTC office.
