The USDO is intended to promote economic development and sustainability while preserving the City of Albany’s neighborhoods and character, and includes updated zoning and administration rules. Numerous changes have been made since the prior version of the Consolidated Draft was posted last fall. Final comments on the final Consolidated Draft are being sought. The draft is available at www.rezonealbany.com.
The document will be introduced to begin the formal adoption process on Monday, March 6, 2017, and hearings on the document will be scheduled in the next month.
Hard copies of the final Consolidated Draft are available in all of the public library branch locations in the City (Main Branch, Arbor Hill/West Hill, Bach, Delaware, Howe, North Albany, Pine Hills), as well as in the Planning Department, located at 200 Henry Johnson Boulevard.
