Federal Highways Administration Now Accepting Applications for Community Planner Positions

The FHWA’s Professional Development Program (PDP) Office is advertising for a few Community Planner, GS-0020-09 positions under the Pathways Recent Graduates Program.

Program Description:

As PDP participants, candidates will receive an introduction to the technical, administrative, and program management aspects of transportation planning and project development in the agency. During this 2 year developmental program, employees will complete three major components including apprentice experience, developmental assignments, and a professional development academy. The apprentice experience will occur in one of  FHWA’s Federal-Aid Division Offices.

The ideal candidates have completed their Master’s degree in Community Planning within the last two years (veterans have up to six years) of the closing date of the announcement or are current graduate degree students, who are anticipating graduation in December 2016.
