The Albany County Land Bank Corporation is currently seeking candidates for three full-time AmeriCorps positions. This program is supported by the Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) through their New York State Housing Stabilization Fund. Each position is structured to help the Land Bank increase its capacity and amplify our impact as we continue to build upon the significant progress our organization has made in reclaiming vacant properties throughout Albany County. The AmeriCorp positions present a great opportunity to help this entity bolster their community outreach, think through some innovative approaches, and help more people obtain property from the Land Bank.
While each position has the same core eligibility requirements and program benefits, the role and desired skills/experience varies by position, so those interested in working at the Land Bank should be encouraged to review each available opportunity. More detail on each role and how to apply can be found in the position announcements, links below. A preference will be given to candidates from Albany Neighborhoods. The candidates will ideally begin service on December 1, 2016 and serve a minimum of 1,700 hours though the end of their term on September 30, 2017. Application responses are due October 28.
